Peace be with you
La paz esté contigo
This Advent season, Hearts for Peace invites you to journey with us in rediscovering the profound message of peace that lies at the heart of Christ’s coming. Inspired by the angelic proclamation at His birth, "Peace on earth to those on whom His favor rests" (Luke 2:14), we reflect on how this gift shapes our lives, communities, and the entire world.
In this campaign, we celebrate peace through a universal lens, starting with the simple yet powerful phrase "Peace be with you" — in many languages and embraced by diverse cultures. Explore this page and reflect on the beauty of this timeless greeting as it echoes across borders, connecting hearts in unity and hope.
Let us prepare our hearts during this Advent for the Prince of Peace and make room for His love, joy, and reconciliation in our lives.
Peace be with you, always.
Peace is a gift.
Peace is not something we create on our own, it is a gift that pours out of God’s heart, of His grace. As Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives" (John 14:27). This Advent, we are reminded that true peace flows from Christ, calming our hearts and uniting us with Him.
"Peace is simplicity of heart, serenity of mind, tranquility of soul, the bond of love." — St. Padre Pio
"Do not disquiet yourself with thoughts of what may happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day." – St. Teresa of Ávila
Peace is a calling.
Peace is not just a gift to be received, it is a calling, and a call to action. We are invited to be peacemakers, sharing Christ's love with others. As we await the Prince of Peace this Advent, may we reflect on how we can bring reconciliation, justice, and hope to our world through small actions.
“If you want peace, work for justice.” — Pope Paul VI
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
Peace is a journey.
Peace is not a one-time achievement but a journey of growing closer to God and living His will. Advent calls us to walk this path of hope and renewal, preparing our hearts for the peace that only Christ can bring.
"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other." – St. Teresa of Calcutta
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” — Colossians 3:15

What is one way you can extend peace to someone you encounter, regardless of differences or circumstances?
How can you be a peacemaker in your community, fostering unity and hope in small yet meaningful ways?
